Custom Design

One of the most important elements of your website is its identity. Your brand needs a unique look and feel to communicate your unique message, goals, and values. A custom designed site is the gateway to make your vision a reality.

A mass-produced, cookie-cutter template site just simply won't cut it. Drag and drop website editors have provided some value for non-designers to be able to customize their websites but the results usually are not pretty. If you've been around the web for long enough, then you've seen your fair share of template-based websites that look like this:

Hi and welcome to our business's website

This text is very difficult to read

The background color for the main content section is blue

Color theory dictates blue communicates trustworthiness and professionalism but strong and overpowering background colors are pretty jarring and don't really gel with the professional vibe we want to give off. Our font is Roboto which is safe typeface choice since it's the most used font on Google fonts and has great readability. Unfortunately it also has the effect of making our site look very similar to many other websites on the internet.

Gradients are a great tool

when used with subtlety and discretion.

Appropriate icons help users

understand the content of a section at a glance.

Presentation matters though

and all this goes out the window if it looks bad.

Websites like that can tarnish reputations. When a business tries to spend as close to $0 as possible on their website their customers will wonder what else they are cutting corners on. Generally speaking, one of the most common things that drive consumers away from businesses are ugly, unprofessional, or difficult to use websites.

We are naturally drawn to beautiful, intuitive designs and repelled by disorderly, unpleasant looking designs. Every business can benefit from putting in effort to visually appeal to visitors of their website. Imagine a website that emphasizes well ordered design as a means to captivate audiences:

Business solutions for your company

We took great care when choosing assets, colors, typography, and spacing. We emphasized readability, heirarchy, and compostion.

We wrote meaningful content

We didn't write things just for the sake of filling space. We are aware of our customers' needs and the problems our customers face and we offer relevant solutions and services. Our expert knowledge and best-in-class products are exactly what our customers are looking for.

Cohesion

Different sections fit together well and avoid the disjointed feel of template page-builders.

Hierarchy

Contrast, proportion, and spacing are carefully leveraged to create a distinctly interpretable interface.

Aesthetics

Fonts, colors, and image assets are applied tastefully to give our brand an authentic and professional feel.

Night and day difference between the two, right? At a structural level, no not really. In fact, the raw content in those examples is virtually identical. Both websites have a hero section, and intro section, and an info box section. The real difference shows itself in the presentation of those elements.

Good design and presentation matter for your business. The first site will probably work fine if your goals begin and end at "having a website". But if you'd like to engage your users, build your business's brand, and increase traffic and revenue, send a message and get started on your custom design solution!
