Performance

Fast page speed is key for improving SEO and decreasing bounce rate. Users are far more likely to navigate away from websites that load slowly.

Many websites on the internet are built with bloated, overengineered drag-and-drop and WYSIWYG page builders. Functionality is then pumped in through a hodge-podge of different (and often conflicting) plugins. The consequence of this Frankenstein approach of cobbling together websites results in absolutely behemoth bundle sizes and slow loading speeds.

Every website I create is built from scratch for two main reasons. Firstly, it allows for unlimited creative freedom over your site that would otherwise be shackled by the constraints of a template or theme. Secondly, this approach avoids the unnecessary code and numerous dependencies that are included with page builders. Smaller bundles, faster page speeds, happy Google, happy users, happy website owner.

When determining where to rank websites in search results, Google uses a number of health score metrics, chief of which is page speed. My website building process is optimized to ensure your website consistently scores in the 90 to 100 range on desktop and even on throttled 3G mobile connections.
